Learn More About Organ Donation

Nearly 4,300 men, women and children in our area are waiting for organ transplants. The Penn Transplant Center is dedicated to increasing awareness of the need for organ and tissue donation. To learn more about donating organs, try our Organ Donor Quiz, and visit the Gift of Life Donor Program web site. You can also sign up online to become an organ donor.

Since its founding in 1974, Gift of Life Donor Program has served as the link between donors and patients awaiting life-saving transplants, coordinating over 16,500 vital organ transplants and tens of thousands of tissue transplants.

Gift of Life Donor Program, one of the oldest of the 59 donor programs in the United States, is the primary source of information regarding all aspects of organ and tissue donation and transplantation in the eastern half of Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware.
