Lung Transplant Support Group
The Penn Transplant Institute is pleased to offer two different lung transplant support groups for patients and their care givers. The groups consist of patients who are either awaiting transplant or who have been transplanted.
The educational sessions are informational where topical issues are presented by individuals who have expertise in particular areas. It is a collaboration of the nurse coordinator and a social worker .
Meetings take place the second Monday of each month, **note time change 1-3pm , in the Penn Tower Gates 4 Conference Room, unless otherwise noted. *Portable oxygen tanks supplied
The group therapy meetings are more psychodynamic in nature. It is led by our transplant social workers.
Meetings take place every other Tuesday 11-12:30p on Founders 3/Plaza A or B (above cafeteria). * Check website for specific dates.
Because speakers may be called to emergency,
