About Our Team

The Penn Sjogren's Syndrome Center team specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Sjogren's syndrome. Physicians from the Department of Ophthalmology and the Department of Oral Medicine work closely with rheumatologists in treating patients.

Frederick Vivino, MD, Director, Penn Sjogren's Syndrome Center; Chief, Division of Rheumatology, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Widely recognized in his field, Dr. Vivino has published numerous articles and presented internationally on the results of his Sjogren's syndrome research. He is chair of the Medical and Scientific Advisory Board of the Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation and chairman of the Medical Advisory Board of the Foundation's Philadelphia chapter. Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Vivino was voted one of the top doctors in rheumatology by Philadelphia Magazine, and has received national recognition for his contributions to the study of Sjogren's syndrome.
