Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension at Penn
Renal disease specialists treat patients with acute and chronic diseases of the kidneys and hypertension problems, including acute
and chronic renal failure, dialysis complications,
fluid and electrolyte abnormalities, glomerular disease,
kidney stones, renal/tubular abnormalities, renal
transplants, hematuria, nephrolithiasis, proteinuric
conditions, secondary causes of hypertension,
severe primary hypertension, and urinary tract
infections.
Complex Hypertension Program
This program evaluates and treats patients with
high blood pressure and provides primary care
and referral in areas related to endocrinology,
pharmacology, and renal and cardiovascular
medicine. Special interests include renal artery
stenosis, pheochromocytoma, hyperaldosteronism,
and carcinoid syndrome.
