Camouflage make-up

Penn's Skin Care Program provides complimentary camouflage make-up classes to current plastic surgery patients. The lesson is ideal for reconstructive surgery or cosmetic surgery patients.

During the one-on-one lesson, an aesthetician will demonstrate make-up techniques for covering bruises or scars. They can also recommend special types of heavily pigmented make-up designed for this purpose.

This special make-up is available for purchase through the Skin Care Program.

Post-Surgery
Facelift and other cosmetic surgery patients may have bruising after their procedure. Camouflage techniques allow patients to quickly resume their normal lives.

After the surgery has healed, patients are welcome to take advantage of a second lesson in make-up application.

Reconstructive
Reconstructive surgery patients can rely on camouflage make-up techniques for many years. The methods can cover birth defects, port wine stains or scarring.

If you are currently a Penn Plastic Surgery patient and would like more information about the camouflage make-up service, talk to your doctor.
