Patricia A. Takach, MD
Patricia
A. Takach, MD, joins the Section of Allergy and
Immunology at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center as assistant
professor.
Dr. Takach received her medical degree from Boston
University
School of Medicine and completed an internship in internal
medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland and a residency
in
internal medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital. She also
completed a fellowship in allergy and immunology at SUNY
Stony Brook University Hospital. Dr. Takach joins Penn
Presbyterian Medical Center after working in private practice
in
northern California.
As assistant professor at Penn Presbyterian
Medical Center, Dr.
Takach's clinical focus will be on treating patients
with allergic
and immunologic disorders. In particular, she has developed
an
interest in the diagnosis and treatment of sinusitis and
its
interrelated problems of allergy and asthma.
Her vast clinical
experience includes treating all allergyimmunology
related problems including asthma, allergic rhinitis,
sinusitis, adverse drug reactions, immunodeficiencies, urticaria
and anaphylaxis.
Dr. Takach is a member of several professional
and scientific
societies, including the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma
and Immunology; American College of Allergy, Asthma and
Immunology; Western Society of Allergy, Asthma and
Immunology; and the international Clinical Immunology Society.
She
has been invited to speak at several lectures on topics of
allergy and immunology, and has been published in the premier
journal of allergy and immunology, Journal of Allergy and
Clinical Immunology. Dr. Takach is board certified in internal
medicine and allergy and immunology.
