Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is organized into four clinical divisions, each containing a number of specialty laboratories and services. The divisions are: Anatomic Pathology, Laboratory Medicine, Neuropathology, and Transfusion Medicine.

The department's specialists have developed many recent diagnostic tests utilizing cellular, genetic and molecular technology. Areas of research include cancer, immunology, diabetes, metabolic regulation, neurobiology, and genetic-related diseases.
