Junior Volunteer Program
As a Student Ambassador at
Pennsylvania Hospital, you will have the opportunity
to gain exposure and experience through our Summer
Student Ambassador Program. Upon
completion of the minimum requirements, you will receive a certificate and
letter confirming your hours of service.

By becoming a volunteer, you will enjoy complimentary
meals in the hospital cafeteria and have access
to our medical library. You will have the opportunity
to make new friends, learn new things, help others
and have fun!
Requirements are:
- Completed application
- Health screening which includes one PPD
testing for tuberculosis and immunization records
or blood work for immunity to Measles, Mumps,
Rubella, and Chickenpox. Either the hospital
or your own personal physician can run the
testing.
- Processing/placement or interview session
with the Director of Volunteer Services
- Completed compliance paperwork within established
deadline dates
- Commitment of 50 hours, at least four weeks
of service and consistent attendance for Summer
program
- Commitment of 50 hours and two months of
service for Community Service Program
- Specific hospital and departmental training
- Uniform
and dress standards
