Be a Pennsylvania Hospital Volunteer and Enrich
Your Life
Welcome to Pennsylvania
Hospital located at 800 Spruce Street in the
Society Hill section of Philadelphia, PA.
It takes special people to give freely
of their valuable time and talents to help
others. The people who volunteer at Pennsylvania
Hospital are caring, dedicated and committed.
Through their many meaningful activities, our
volunteers help further the objectives of the
hospital and provide the best possible support
and comfort for our patients, their families
and visitors.
When Benjamin Franklin, a volunteer, and Dr.
Thomas Bond founded Pennsylvania Hospital – the
nation's first hospital - in 1751, they
adopted the story of the Good Samaritan. Today,
Pennsylvania Hospital upholds the same philosophy
of caring for those in medical need. By becoming
a volunteer at Pennsylvania Hospital, you'll
be part of a proud tradition of helping to improve
the quality of life of others.
Share your experience and become a part of our
team and make a difference! There are many vital
opportunities available. While helping others,
you will make many new friends, learn new things,
have a choice of assignments and have fun.
Discover how you can enrich your life. To join
