Penn Orthopaedic Trauma Service

When a serious accident or injury occurs, it is important to know that specialized trauma services, for you or a loved one, are available. The Penn Orthopaedic Trauma Service is committed to providing optimal care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries. The team of physicians at the Penn Orthopaedic Trauma Service is prepared to treat trauma to the shoulder, elbow, hand, wrist, foot and ankle, that result from automobile accidents, industrial accidents or sports injuries.

Penn Orthopaedic Trauma Service treats patients with central skeleton injuries such as:

  • Spine fractures
  • Pelvic and hip socket fractures

The physicians at the Penn Orthopaedic Trauma Service are experts in their field and specialize in:

  • Malunions - bones that heal improperly
  • Nonunions - or bones that do not heal
  • Osteomylitis - infection of the bone
  • Individual fractures
  • Hand and upper extremity services including microvascular surgery, arthroscopic surgery and reconstructive surgery
