Myolysis
Although not widely used, myolysis is a laparoscopic
procedure that is most effective in treating relatively
small fibroids located near the surface of the
uterus. An electrical needle is used to destroy
the small blood vessels feeding the fibroids.
Medications can also be used to try to shrink
the fibroid prior to the procedure.
