Solutions for Women at Pennsylvania Hospital

Pennsylvania Hospital is proud to announce its newest service for women, Solutions for Women at Pennsylvania Hospital. This boutique enables patients and caregivers to purchase health-oriented merchandise in a convenient, comfortable and discreet setting. Staffed by certified professionals, the store offers a wide array of products that aid women in achieving a positive sense of self.

For the past 250 years, Pennsylvania Hospital has established a solid reputation in the field of women’s health care. The hospital delivers the most babies in Philadelphia, with over 5,000 births annually. However, babies are only a part of the extensive women’s health care services Pennsylvania Hospital has to offer.

In addition to obstetrics, high-risk maternal and fetal services and neonatology, Pennsylvania Hospital also is nationally recognized in behavioral health, cancer care, cardiac care, neurosurgery, orthopaedics and vascular surgery. The hospital campus includes specialty preventive and treatment centers, such as the Joan Karnell Cancer Center, the Center for Bloodless Medicine and Surgery, the Women’s Resource Center and the Penn Neurological Institute.

“When a woman goes through a significant health condition, be it cancer, pregnancy or even menopause, the way she feels about herself or how she cares for her body can change significantly,” states Debi Ferrarello, RN, MS, IBCLC, director of family education and Solutions for Women. “Solutions for Women was established to give women of all ages access to the items they need to live their best life.”

Farrarello continues: “Our boutique is a one-stop-shop strategically located on the Pennsylvania Hospital campus so that a patient or caregiver can conveniently pick-up a health care product, accessory or gift either before or after a doctor’s appointment, or on their way to visit a patient. We also welcome the general consumer and have a number of specialty items for women.”

Solutions for Women at Pennsylvania Hospital offers a variety of distinct life-enhancing health care items, including:
