MEDICAL ASSISTANTS, RNs, LPNs
As a clinical professional with PennCare, you will be essential to the practice
as you support our medical providers and practice managers in maintaining a
patient/customer focus, while supporting the delivery of the highest quality
care.
Registered Nurses (RN)
PennCare RNs are responsible for ensuring that
our patients have a positive experience at
our practices. With compassion, our RNs interact
with our patients and their families to respond
to their individual needs. From being knowledgeable
about patient history, communicating relevant
information to practice staff, advising about office
policies and triaging after physician consultation,
our nurses have a special place within our practice
environment.
An associate's degree or a bachelor's
degree in nursing and RN licensure is required.
One to two years of outpatient or medical office
Nursing experience is preferable.
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)
The LPNs who practice with PennCare are exceptional
in their support and dedication to ensuring that
patients have a positive experience. From administering
prescribed medications, injections and vaccines and
reading PPD results, to performing EKGs, screening
tests such as spirometry, audiometry, and vision
testing after properly preparing the patient and
accurately documenting the results, their skills
are highly valued and respected.
Our LPNs are valuable to our providers in the exam
room with medical procedures such as positioning
patients, wound cleaning and dressing, assisting
in orienting new team members and serving as
a resource to medical assistants.
Completion of an accredited school of practical nursing
program is required. Current licensure as
a licensed practical nurse in good standing in
the state of Pennsylvania or New Jersey as appropriate
is also required along with CPR Certification.
One to two years of related outpatient experience
preferred.
Medical Assistant
Our medical assistants share a passion for patient
and customer-centered care, and assist in meeting
and exceeding patient satisfaction as well
as financial and operational targets. Coordinating
patient care, assisting with procedures, performing
laboratory and screening tests, educating patients
and their families, and providing clear explanations
to patients regarding medical care is crucial
to the role of medical assistant.
Minimum certifications, registry and/or licenses
required: Education equivalent to the completion
of high school and completion of an accredited
medical assistant program. CPR Certification
preferred. Certification as a medical assistant
is required to work for our CHCA practices in
New Jersey.
