PENNCARE
The University of Pennsylvania Health System is proud
to have one of the largest networks of primary
care physicians located in Philadelphia,
the suburbs and outlying counties and New Jersey.
Clinical Care Associates (CCA) / Clinical Health Care
Associates of New Jersey, P.C. (CHCA), also known
as PennCare, is a primary and specialty care
network of physicians. Established to provide
high-quality health care in communities throughout
the region, PennCare physicians have direct access
to regional hospitals as well as to the vast
resources within the University
of Pennsylvania Health System, including consultation
with physicians at the Hospital of
the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania
Hospital and Penn
Presbyterian Medical Center.
There are approximately 150 physicians and 30 mid-level providers (CRNP/physician
assistants/midwives), and approximately 600 employees working within this network. In 2007, PennCare providers averaged 4,050 visits per provider and over 650,000 total visits for the year. Our practices provide care
in:
internal medicine, family
medicine, cardiology,
