FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I find out about UPHS job opportunities?
Please visit Search Jobs section of this site for a listing of current job opportunities. You may search our current openings by category, location, job code, and/or key words. This career website is updated daily so it is important for you to include the site in My Favorites for easy access.

Can I apply for multiple positions?
Yes, you are encouraged to apply for all positions that match your interest and qualifications. You can use the Job Cart to apply for more than one job at a time. Also, you can use the Job Agent and complete your personal profile. If we post a position matching your skills, you can be notified immediately via email.

Can I apply for a position more than once?
You can only apply for a particular position once. If the position is posted a second time, you can apply for a second time.

When applying online, can I copy and paste my resume?
Yes, during the application process you will be given the opportunity to copy and paste your entire resume. If you don't have a resume, an online resume builder is available.

How will I know that my application was submitted correctly?
After submitting your application, a message should appear on the screen to confirm that your application was received. In addition, you should receive the confirmation message by e-mail if you provide a valid e-mail address.

After I've applied, when will I hear back from someone?
After your application is reviewed, a recruiter will compare your qualifications with those of all other applicants and review top candidates with the hiring manager. Applicants whose skills and experiences most closely match the position needs and requirements will be contacted. If your skills do not match the specific position, we encourge you to revisit pennhealth.com/jobs.

Why do some positions have a questionnaire attached and not others?
UPHS has many openings for certain types of patient access jobs, including Patient Services Representatives and Medical Receptionists. These questionnaires are designed to help us more easily identify those candidates that possess competencies that are most likely to meet our Customer Service standards. In other cases, questionnaires are used to identify candidates who meet the established, basic requirements for the position.

What benefits are available with UPHS?
UPHS offers a comprehensive benefit package, including pre-paid tuition benefits after six months of employment. Medical, Prescription, Dental and other important health benefits become effective on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Click here for a full list of benefits.

How can I update my resume in the applicant database?
You can access your resume by providing your email address and password. Your resume will be accessible at that time and you can make changes to that information. If you forget your password, submit your email address and your password will be sent to you.
