30th Street Station. See SEPTA Regional Rail

on travelling to the Hospital from 30th Street
Station. Taxi service also is available at 30th

SEPTA Regional Rail Lines
The R1 Airport, R2 Marcus Hook-Wilmington,
R3 Media-Elwyn and most Glenside-Jenkintown,
R2 Warminster and R3 West Trenton trains provide
direct service to the University City Station
on the Medical Center campus. From other Regional
Rail lines, transfer free to the R1, R2, or R3
at 30th Street or Market East stations. Your
train ticket is your transfer.
SEPTA City Trains and Trolleys
The SEPTA Market/Frankford Blue Line (the elevated train/subway) stops at 34th
and Market Sts. A 10-minute walk south on 34th Street or a 5-minute ride
on the LUCY shuttle takes you to the Hospital.
All SEPTA Subway/Surface Green Line trolleys
except the Number 10 stop at 37th and Spruce
streets, one block from the Rhoads entrance to
the Hospital on 36th Street south of Spruce Street.
If you take the Number 10 trolley, travel to
36th and Sansom streets. Walk four blocks south
on 36th Street to the Rhoads entrance of the
Hospital.

LUCY - Loop Through University
City
The University City District's LUCY shuttle runs to Penn Tower Hotel, across
34th Street from the main entrance to Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The Gold Loop takes passengers
from 30th Street Station and 34th and Market streets to Penn Tower, then goes
to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
The Gold Loop shuttle runs every 10 minutes
during peak times (7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
to 6 p.m.) and every 30 minutes from 9 a.m. to
4 p.m. The ride to Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania takes 10 minutes from
30th Street Station and 5 minutes from 34th and
Market streets.
LUCY is $2.00 or a SEPTA token for the public
and is free with a SEPTA pass or ID from the
University of Pennsylvania, University of Pennsylvania
Health System, Drexel University, Children's
Hospital of Philadelphia and the VA Medical Center.

New Jersey PATCO Trains
Take the PATCO line to 8th and Market streets.
Follow the underground concourse to the SEPTA
Market East station. From there, the R1 Airport,
R2 Marcus Hook-Wilmington, and R3 Media-Elwyn
Regional Rail lines provide direct service to
the University City Station on the Medical Center
campus. Or you may transfer from PATCO at 8th
and Market streets to the SEPTA Market/Frankford
Blue Line (the elevated train/subway). Take the
westbound train to 34th and Market streets. A
10-minute walk south on 34th Street takes you
to the Hospital.

Greyhound Bus Lines
From the Greyhound Bus Station at 10th and Filbert streets, walk to the Market
East Station at 11th and Market streets. From there, take the R1 Airport,
R2 Marcus Hook-Wilmington, or R3 Media-Elwyn Regional Rail line to the University
City Station on the Medical Center Campus. A taxi ride from the Greyhound
Bus station costs about $12.
