Is this service covered by insurance?
Yes, Caring Way services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance and HMOs.

Who is eligible for this service?
Caring Way services are intended for patients who are homebound and in need of skilled nursing care.
 
Where do patients receive care?
Most of our patients wish to remain at home. The support of our team helps make this possible.

Is Caring Way the same as hospice care?
No, Caring Way is designed for patients who are still receiving treatment while hospice is most appropriate for patients who wish to focus on comfort care. Caring Way patients who wish to switch to Wissahickon Hospice may keep their same nurse and social worker as they expand their health care needs.
