Emergency Medicine at Penn
Emergency medicine services are available 24
hours a day, seven days a week at all three Penn
hospitals.
The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
is a Level 1 Trauma Center and provides state-of-the-art
support for trauma patients, cases and emergencies.
The departments of Emergency Medicine at Pennsylvania
Hospital and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center
provide a full range of critical care, medical
and surgical evaluations. Physicians are board-certified
in emergency medicine and/or internal medicine
and have experience in the evaluation and stabilization
of complex, undifferentiated medical or surgical
problems.

Hyperbaric Medicine Center
Our multidisciplinary facility, known as the
Institute for Environmental Medicine, includes
a clinical treatment area, and state-of-the-art
laboratory oriented toward biochemistry, cell
