The Contact Dermatitis Clinic
The Contact Dermatitis Clinic sees patients
that have a red, itchy rash which may be caused
by an allergic reaction in the skin.
Our treatment options include patch
testing, a customized
skin test designed to determine whether or not
you are allergic to any of the chemicals contained
in commonly used items and products. These chemical
are called allergens.
We have an extensive number of common and uncommon
allergens from which to choose to customize our
test panels according to your needs. Only a small
number of centers in the US have such a comprehensive
set of allergens. This maximizes the ability
to identify the exact substances that you may
be allergic to. We can test for substances that
scratch tests, usually done by allergists, cannot.
In addition, we offer
a thorough evaluation, examination, and diagnosis,
as well as information about how to help you
avoid allergens in products, toiletries, grooming
items, cosmetics, and other items used every
day.
