Search Online to Find Cardiovascular Clinical Trials
The Penn Cardiovascular Institute (Penn CVI) is pleased to announce the launch of its new, online clinical trials search tool. Use the new online search tool to review cardiovascular clinical trials by either keyword or category.
Each clinical trial detail page features a simple explanation of why the research is being conducted, volunteer requirements, expected time commitment and contact information.
The Penn CVI coordinates clinical and translational research trials at Penn as part of its mission to advance cardiovascular health. By taking part in a Penn CVI clinical trial, you can help accelerate the pace at which life-saving procedures, devices and medications reach the public.
A recent poll found 94 percent of people recognized the importance of participating in clinical research in order to help advance medical science. Yet 75 percent of the general public state they have little understanding of the clinical trials process or how to volunteer.*
Penn’s Office of Human Research selected the Penn CVI to pilot the new search tool, with the goal of improving the public’s understanding of and access to the clinical trials process.
