Recipe: Spicy Green Beans

Spicy Green Beans (serves 4)

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon low fat margarine
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 9-ounce package frozen, no-salt-added, French-style green beans
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon dill seed
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions
Place margarine and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Add frozen beans and heat slowly, using a fork to separate. Cover and cook until beans are tender. Add remaining ingredients, toss lightly and heat thoroughly. (Celery and onion should remain crisp.)
