Cardiology Consultative Service
Sometimes heart patients are turned down for
care, because their problem is considered too
complicated or untreatable. The Penn Cardiac Care
Cardiovascular Consultative Service is a resource
for those patients and/or physicians such as cardiologists,
primary care physicians, and surgeons, who would
like a first or second opinion. Our physicians
are able to treat and prescribe treatment for
patients and are experts in:
- general cardiology
- congestive heart failure
- preventive cardiology
- valvular heart diseases
Our cardiologists will provide patients access
to the most current invasive and noninvasive treatments
available, including new drugs and devices being
studied in clinical research trials.
General Consultation
Penn Cardiac Care cardiologists and cardiothoracic
surgeons see patients for evaluation and treatment
at practices located on the campus of the University
of Pennsylvania Medical Center. We are available
24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency, cardiac
patient care.
Penn Cardiac Care physicians accept most insurance
plans and are committed to following up promptly
with your primary healthcare provider about your
tests and condition.
