Services

The initial consultation is an all-inclusive, in-depth evaluation of an individual’s current and past history, including prior treatment, precipitating and perpetuating factors, and psychological aspects of the presenting condition.

The comprehensive assessment guides the treatment plan that typically includes medications and psychotherapeutic interventions.

The CCS is targeted in particular to individuals or their treating physicians who have concerns about the accuracy of their diagnoses, their level of response to current treatments, side effects or inadequate functional recovery.

Our goals include providing each individual patient with:

  • a comprehensive diagnostic assessment
  • a detailed medication review and formulation, with an evidence-based treatment plan
  • recommendations on psychosocial interventions
  • education regarding their illness and the full range of available and effective treatments

Our services include:

  • In-depth psychiatric and psychological evaluations
  • Research-based diagnostic tools to enhance diagnostic evaluation
  • Structured assessments for diagnosis
  • Liaison with prior treaters to facilitate assessment
  • Thorough review of one’s longitudinal course and treatment history
  • Identification of treatment goals
  • Treatment recommendations in algorithmic formulae
  • Recommendations on most appropriate type of therapy for each individual case
  • Referral to available research options (if interested)
  • Goals to improve functional outcomes
  • Educating individuals and families about the illness and expectations
  • Verbal and written communication to referring physicians
  • Referrals for future treatments (if necessary)
