Intensive Addiction Treatment
Penn Presbyterian offers a range of addiction
treatment programs designed to meet the individual
needs of each patient. Both inpatient and outpatient
services are available. All programs incorporate
individual and group counseling, psychoeducational
sessions and family support. Participation in
AA, NA or CA meetings is an integral part of
the recovery process.
Outpatient Addiction Treatment
This program
is designed for individuals who can benefit from
treatment three days per week, for three hours
each day. Patients participate in individual
and group counseling and educational lectures
and meetings. We also offer a specialized Women's
Recovery Program. Assistance with Day Care is Available.
Inpatient Addiction Treatment
Penn Presbyterian
has 46 beds for inpatient detoxification and
rehabilitation. The program is designed for ambulatory
and voluntary patients interested in addiction
treatment. The program is equipped to handle
patients with a minor secondary psychiatric disorder
or a co-occurring medical condition that does
not prevent them from full participation in the
program. Please contact the Assessment Center
at 215-662-8747 for any questions regarding admission
into any of our inpatient programs.
The units of Wright 4 and Scheie 3 offer medically
managed programs for individuals suffering from
a primary addiction problem. The Non-Hospital
Program is for patients requiring medically monitored
treatment. The treatment teams on all units include
a Psychiatrist, 24-hour Registered nursing staff,
and Addiction Counselors.
