Pre-operative Appointments

You will have one final visit to the hospital approximately one to two weeks before surgery. At this time, you will meet with the nursing staff and your medical history and physical examination will be reviewed. This is to ensure that your health history and medications are up to date. You will also undergo preoperative testing at this visit, including lab work, an EKG, and a chest x-ray.
