Meet the Surgeons
Surgeons
The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
is the home of one of the most technologically
advanced operating rooms in the country. Not only
can patients be confident that they are entering
a weight reduction program that suits their needs,
but they can be assured that their surgery is
performed by an experienced surgeon using the
latest advances in medicine.
The surgeons operating at Penn are committed
to excellence and performing surgery that will
ultimately result in the best outcomes for patients.
Surgeons use the newest and most innovative techniques
and equipment and are highly skilled in bariatric
procedures. The majority of Bariatric Surgery
is performed Laparoscopically. Occasionally the
procedures require an open surgical approach.
The surgeon will discuss these options with patients
during their initial consultation.
